Two young national players want more for German handball. More speed, technique, responsibility—and titles: Julian Köster and Juri Knorr represent a new generation of handball players. Shortly before the 2026 European Championship, we explore the fascination of one of the fastest team sports – from its clubs to the Bundesliga to the Champions League, as well as both together in the German national team. In doing so, we ask the question: Are Julian Köster and Juri Knorr leading German handball into a new era?
