Young people are turning their backs on the churches. Yet some of them continue to believe—consciously, publicly, and with conviction. Reporter Frank Seibert, grew up Catholic himself but later left the Church. During the Catholic Day, in Taizé, and at Freakstock Festival, he meets young Christians who hold fast to their faith despite abuse scandals, power structures, and their own doubts. Frank immerses himself in their diverse worlds of faith, attends church services and a baptism, prays, sings, remains silent, and engages in discussion. In the process, he increasingly asks himself: What can faith still offer today—despite the circumstances?
