The CentrO in Oberhausen is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe. A gigantic building complex of 83 hectares, which attracts around 23 million visitors every year. But not only that: CentrO is a tourist attraction, a leisure paradise where you can spend entire weekends. And it is an indispensable part of regional history, a prime example of structural change in the Ruhr region.
We look behind the scenes of CentrO and tell the stories of people whose lives have been affected by it.
