The enacted sequences and CGI for this BBC/ZDF coproduction were produced by Gruppe 5. Vast battle scenes, the sacking of Rome by the Celts, the conquest of Gaul by Julius Caesar and the uprising of Celt queen Boudica against the Romans in England are elaborately and compellingly enacted.
