In June 2018, Alexander Gerst flew to the International Space Station ISS where he later became its first German commander. For a three-part “Terra X” documentary, our team accompanied him as he prepared for his mission. The first film was broadcast at the start of the mission, Part Two now focuses on the moon itself. Since time immemorial man has been fascinated by the moon. The desire to explore it led to such scientific advancement that the moon became the first celestial body on which man set foot and which in the future will be the basis for a research station.
