The documentary series „The Jews – A People’s History” undertakes a quest into more than 3,000 years of Jewish history: tracking back to the beginning of Jews as an independent ethnic group in the Middle East and guides us through many countries and across continents right up to present day.
The series researches for the roots of the Jewish People and seeks to discover how the monotheistic faith came about, providing the foundation for the other major monotheistic world religions. We look for clues about Judaism at archaeological excavation sites and view the centres of culture and the written “evidence” of the Jewish Diaspora.
