The Secret of the Jaguar People (WT)

An international expedition sets out for the remote, largely unexplored table mountains of the Serranía de Chiribiquete in the Colombian Amazon. Their mission – to unravel a mysterious culture: steep rock faces are adorned with magnificent petroglyphs. These images depict what is known as “Jaguar people,” a people who, according to legend, have watched over the sacred mountains for millennia. Having remained hidden in the national park to this day, have these uncontacted hunter-gatherer groups preserved this culture?

Ancient bone finds, pottery, and minerals in cave systems offer sensational insights into the world of the Jaguar People—and also shed new light on the history of human settlement in the Americas.
