Religions shape the human experience through shared rituals, traditions and beliefs that provide community, comfort and support. At the same time, they can trigger conflicts if they are misinterpreted or misused for political purposes. The conflict has been particularly visible in Berlin since 7 October: anti-Semitism and Islamophobia are on the rise and religious discrimination is omnipresent. This makes interfaith dialogue all the more important in order to promote peace. Is it possible for different religious beliefs to coexist peacefully? In Berlin’s place of origin, where the city and its first church were founded, the ‘House of One’ will be a place that unites three world religions and promotes dialogue.
