Sometimes a farewell is the beginning of a better story, as the saying goes. We’ve put this saying to the test and compiled the most absurd farewells in history. It’s not just some strange funeral rituals that make it hard to keep a straight face. It’s also when systems, ideals, or entire eras quietly slip away. Speaking of “quietly.” Of course, the party classic of a Polish send-off is just as essential as the farewell to the farewell. After all, a comeback is often the best kind of farewell, though a grand send-off always has a certain dignity to it. Well, almost always.
