The Magnificent 10

Episode 6: THE MOST MILITANT COMEBACKS IN HISTORY

“They never come back” is an old boxer’s wisdom. But is it true? Isn’t history full of spectacular returns? The most prominent example is Jesus of Nazareth. His comeback is perhaps the most spectacular in history. But it is by no means the only one. History is full of returnees and second chances, which are used or even completely messed up. Napoleon’s comeback of Elba with kettledrums and trumpets was certainly not well thought out. Adventurer Odysseus needed what felt like an eternity, but eventually managed a successful return to his beloved Ithaca. And then there are candidates who try again and again. Musicians, for example, or the four seasons.
