Every spring, shepherds drive their flocks hundreds of kilometers north in the southwest. From here, the journey continues to the Cáceres region, where painters are reviving awareness of history and identity; to the world’s most famous pigs, which frolic under the holm oaks of the dehesa; and to a woman who is knitting together a village community with colorful threads and reaping international fame for her efforts.
