Even Sophie Scholl was initially taken in by the Nazi regime and voluntarily joined the BDM, the League of German Girls. But unlike many millions of others, Sophie Scholl could not ignore the signs of oppression. She joined the student resistance group, “White Rose”, that aimed to expose the true face of the dictatorship. Sophie Scholl found the courage to rebel against injustice and publicly condemn the regime’s crimes.
