Climate catastrophe, pandemic, war – In the first episode of the three-part series, Pelzig feels pretty powerless in the face of the many crises. But at least on his bicycle, he sets the direction and the pace.
He meets his father of the state, Bavarian Prime Minister and “power politician” Dr. Markus Söder, who describes politicians as not so powerful after all. He talks to “Davids” who have taken up the fight against “Goliath,” like farmer Eckhard Heukamp, whose farm in Lützerath has to make way for open-pit lignite mining, lawyer Bernhard Docke, who sues the most powerful man in the world and wins, and the fearless nun, Sister Philippa Rath, who challenges the men in the Catholic Church.
