September 11 – A day that changed the world. 9/11 has become a synonym for terror and violence. Probably everyone over 30 knows where they were on that day in 2001 and how they heard about the attack on the World Trade Center. So what else can you expect from a day like this?
Lots of things have happened on that day for thousands of years. The Germanic peoples are fighting for their freedom, and the Catholic Church must realise that not everything revolves around the earth. There is talk of a murdered empress and murderous Mormons.
And then September 11 is also a day of big ideas: it is about civil disobedience, the power of capital and a small cut in a border fence that has changed big things.
Follow us on a surprising trip that proves September 11 has changed the world more than once – and even for the better.
