Justice is one of the most important keys to a better world – without it, conflicts are almost inevitable and a life in peace and freedom is difficult to imagine. It is about the balance between rich and poor, educated and uneducated, men and women, voting rights and much more. But justice is complicated and does not necessarily mean that everyone is treated equally. So what does it take to achieve justice? And is the widespread impression that the world is becoming increasingly unfair true? Mirko Drotschmann follows justice on three continents – from the hills of Anatolia to the impressive ruins of ancient Rome to the Rockefeller Center in New York. With the help of behavioral researchers, he shows how strongly the innate sense of justice shapes people from an early age and what influence different cultures have on the perception of justice.
